The Asteroid Belt is located between Mars and Jupiter. It's an immense field of rocks great and small. One in particular formed into the dwarf planet Ceres, home to the highest security prisons in all of Sol Defense.

Cressus Mining has a large presence in the Belt, mining minerals from the various asteroids. Sol Defense, decades ago, made its sole "claim" on a property in the system. They run Ceres and its many prisons.
